Our Purpose:

The purpose of Word Ministries’ Music Department is to glorify God through music, recognizing that we have been given the responsibility to provide an avenue through which people might enter into His glorious presence. Our Objective… To create an atmosphere in which the Holy Spirit is free to move, releasing power and provision! We seek to magnify Jesus, not ourselves.

Membership Requirements:

Members The Music Department is composed of musicians and singers who:

• Are born again and recognize the call of God to stand in the office of a musician or singer. 

• They are endeavoring to lead our congregation into worship of our Heavenly Father. 

• Are members of Word Ministries and have been in attendance for at least 90 days (3 months). 

• Have completed an audition with the director and have demonstrated basic knowledge of music theory. 

• Those that successfully complete an audition and interview, and have completed an apprenticeship period predetermined by the Worship Pastor.

• Members must be worshippers, not performers. They must display a heart of servant-hood and a teachable spirit.

How You Can Serve:

• Singers: Sopranos, Altos, Tenor, Baritones and Bass singing skillfully unto the Lord.

• Musicians: Playing instruments skillfully unto the Lord. 

• Secretary: Light filing, typing up of song lyrics, copying and creating transparencies.

• Overhead Assistants: Displaying songs on projectors on Sundays. Filing them away after each Sunday service. 

• Sound Technicians: Operating the sound board during the Sunday service and Thursday night practice.

Meeting Schedule:

The worship team practices every Thursday from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. 

They practice on Sunday mornings from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. prior to the morning service.
